To celebrate the global launch of new products inspired by Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Disney and Lucasfilm have announced the launch of their “My Rogue Story” contest – a nationwide short video competition that invites kids (ages 8-12) to create their own original 2-min video inspired by the upcoming “Rogue One” film.
The “My Rogue Story” contest was introduced last month with four incredible, fan-created stop motion animation videos featuring the Rogue One toys that provide your children and parents with inspiration for their own creations. Whether it’s using the newly released toys to create your own epic adventure or taking a more DIY approach to bringing the characters to life using costumes or props at home, kids are encouraged to let their imagination run wild and put their own original spin on the new “Rogue One” film.
Additional info on the contest includes:
- One winner + a parent/guardian will get to see an advance screening of the new Star Wars movie at Lucasfilm in San Francisco and watch their own “Rogue Story” on the big screen.
- Disney Store locations in North America will be giving away free starter packs (while supplies last).
- Disney Store has also released a free online video tutorial offering tips and tricks for creating a fun entry, complete with stop-motion animation instructions, special effects ideas and more.
- For more info on the contest, which runs through Oct. 21 for kids ages 8-12, please visit Disney.com/MyRogueStory (no purchase necessary to enter).
Families are encouraged to submit, as well as carry on the tradition for a new generation of Star Wars fans.
And to celebrate this, we are giving away prize packs of Rogue One toys.
We are giving away two packages that include: one vehicle, three 3.75-in. figures, and two 2-packs of 3.75-in figures for each package. A total retail value of about $103 per package.
We were given product, but not compensation for this post.
