Keep Your Skin Hydrated this Summer with Japanese Skincare Brand Fernberry

06/17/2017 by Maytal

School’s out – the beach is in! Or the pool, lake, sprinklers and anywhere else you can go to cool off. I’m usually pretty good about remembering sunblock but what I don’t always think about is how dry my skin gets after a day at the beach or the pool. I recently discovered Fernberry, a Japanese skincare company that uses local Japanese plants such as cherry leaf, Japanese plum and Tsubaki flower. They also use Sodium Hyaluronate Crosspolymer, which is derived from Hyaluronic acid and restores and maintains moist and radiant skin.Keep Your Skin Hydrated this Summer with Japanese Skincare Brand Fernberry

I received several products for review and loved how quickly I was able to notice a difference in my skin and also loved their delicate scent. The products use local Japanese plants and, of course, the super-moisture ingredient – Sodium Hyluronate Crosspolymer. It can move into deeper layers of the skin, resulting in extra moisture and also provide time-release moisture. Fernberry products are all-natural and free of parabens, sulfates, phthalates, GMOs, tricoslan, dyes and synthetic fragrances. None of the products are ever tested on animals.

Moisturizing Mousse – Ultra Fine Daily Body Scrub $45

This body scrub is so delicate – the grains are extra fine, unlike harsher body scrubs. The result is a very gentle exfoliation of your dead skin cells. I’ve never used a skin scrub so delicate, but it was effective enough for me to notice a difference – my skin felt smoother. It contains blueberry extract, yuzu (which is a type of citrus), plus argan and jojoba oils, rosemary extract, bilberry and aloe.

Petals & Cream – Softening Hand Cream $34

This hand lotion smells delicious! I keep it at my desk and use it at least once a day. It absorbs very quickly into the skin and I’ve noticed right away that my skin feels so much softer and moisturized. It contains shea butter, yuzu, eucalyptus leaf extract, tsubaki flower (camellia), Japanese plum, Japanese cherry leaf extract and geranium.

My feet are the first thing to show signs of dryness. This cream absorbs pretty quickly and is perfect for using right before bedtime. It contains algae, shea butter, lavender oil, rice bran oil, royal jelly extract, marshmallow root extract and meadowfoam seed oil.

Mochi Lips – Nourishing Lip Conditioner $29

Most people forget that lips need protection year-round and a conditioning cream will keep your lips from having unsightly cracks. I love the delicate scent of this cream. It contains oils from olives, sunflowers, sweet almond, plus yuzu and tsubaki flower.

I have never heard of this product. I think I would give it a try. I know that Eastern medicines and products have been used much longer than Western and that there would be greater knowledge. Sounds great.
