As a mom of soon-to-be three I am always on the lookout for great deals on baby gear, activities and kids’ classes. Luckily, the organizers of Mommybites have put together The Ultimate Moms’ Night Out and gathered everything a mom could possible want. (Read more after the jump).
I arrived at the posh New Yorker Hotel and was treated to a fascinating and uplifting talk by Gretchen Rubin, author of The Happiness Project. Each guest received a copy of the book which talks about Rubin’s journey to finding happiness and also includes practical advice on how to make your own life happier.
Afterwards I enjoyed great food and drinks, raffles, and best of all: I was able to meet so many vendors whom I found, for the most part, to be extremely informative. I learned so much about childbirth classes, babysitting services, activities and playgroups for kids. I got to see gorgeous clothing and accessories for moms and kids on display that could be purchased on the spot, lots of baby gear, gift ideas and so much more!
The Ultimate Moms’ Night Out was sponsored by Mommybites, a social and educational community for moms and expectant moms which uses tele-classes, webinars, radio shows, videos and blogs to educate. There is also support for moms via on-line groups as well as in person support groups that are run in various cities.
Co-sponsors were NY Kids Club, a children enrichment center that includes kids’ classes, day camps, birthday celebrations and special events. Another major sponsor is SquareSpot – a website that offers weekly deals on family-friendly products, classes and services.
After a busy evening I returned home with a gift bag filled with goodies and tons of information about really cool vendors. Can’t wait until next year’s Moms’ Night Out!
I was not paid by this post. I did receive a ticket to attend the event and a gift bag.

She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature as well as a Law Degree, but writing about nutrition and helping families eat better is her true passion. She grew up in both California and Israel, which explains her love for California cuisine (fresh, local ingredients), as well as Mediterranean food (flavorful, heart-healthy ingredients). Maytal is a mom to two kids (ages 5 & 3) and works hard to ensure they eat healthy, unprocessed food, while trying to make it as delicious as possible. Married to a vegetarian and being a pescetarian herself, this can be quite a challenge. On an ordinary night at her dinner table, you can hear things like “More cauliflower, please!”, “How come I didn’t get a lot of tomato?” and “Fish oil! Yaaaay!”.
