I’ll admit it — I am pretty much happier when I get a gift card to a store that I like for a gift, especially an electronics store (make the techie in me very happy!). And while I enjoy shopping online (and do so often), there’s nothing that compares to really touching a product and checking it out in person. One of the stores I love to go to is Best Buy. As the holidays are now winding down and the stores are less crazy, it was the perfect time to use the Best Buy gift card I was given for Hanukkah.
We recently bought a Lenovo Laptop for my son and husband to share (and I will use it sometimes too), so I headed to Best Buy to look for accessories for it. I planned to get a Google Play Card, and possibly padded sleeve to keep the laptop in.
I went to the Queens Center Location.
When I walked into the store, there was a table with a circular showcasing the hottest tech gadgets.
The hottest tech gift this season is definitely the iPad Air. While I wasn’t there to purchase one today, I hope to upgrade my iPad 3 hopefully in a few months – the iPad Air is so much lighter and has many better features. And Retina display is just as amazing as they say…
While I love my iPhone 5, I really would love to upgrade up to the iPhone 5S. However, that’s just not in the budget and my contract is up in a year.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 also looked very appealing (which is an option when my contract is up).
It was so much larger than my iPhone.
I easily found the Google Play Giftcards and picked up one for $25, which I figured would let us buy some good apps for the Lenovo Laptop.
Then I looked at the laptop sleeves and chose a green padded one.
Then I chose a wireless range extender. We live in an apartment, but have wireless dead zones — in our den, where we spend a lot of time, using our laptops and Apple TV.
With my laptop accessories chosen, I wandered around, looking at items I would LOVE to buy (maybe this year?). This is cool — Best Buy can easily tell you the hottest tech gadgets that are trending on twitter, click here for the link.
The Microsoft Surface Pro 2 looked pretty awesome.
Then I saw what I really wanted, the Samsung Galaxy NX300 Smart Camera. This DSLR Camera comes with apps and uses wifi so you can share your pics automatically.
I also checked out Sony’s new QX10 lens — that clips right onto a smartphone. Genius! Perfect for someone like me who always has her smartphone on her and snaps tons of instagram pics.
I headed to the register, bought my tech accessories for my new laptop (plus some Best Buy Gift Cards for teacher presents) and headed home.
I’ve never seen those Sony lenses! How cool is that?#client
Gosh, Best Buy has so many awesome tech items. So many things I had never even heard of before, but now I want:) All those camera accessories and gadgets sound awesome! #client
