Easy Shakshuka Recipe - Whole 30, Paleo, and Gluten Free

Ingredients
  • You'll Need:
  • 1 large tomato
  • 1 large onion
  • 2 small green peppers (or 1 green pepper)
  • One container of salsa (use whatever strength you want)
  • 1 can crushed tomatoes (32 oz)
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Avocado oil or olive oil
  • 1 dozen eggs
Instructions
  1. Mince tomato, onion, and peppers.
  2. Coat the bottom of your frying pan with oil.
  3. Try to use a large pan - around 14 inches in diameter would be the best.
  4. Add garlic and onion and cook until soft.
  5. Then add peppers and tomato, cook for 4 minutes.
  6. Add crushed tomatoes, salsa, and the spices and then cook for 5 minutes.
  7. Add eggs, one by one. Try to drop the eggs in different spots.
  8. Cover the pan and let it simmer for 15 minutes.
  9. It's done when the eggs turn white.
