I fell in love with The Children’s Place 11 years ago when my oldest was an infant. Their low prices, abundant coupons and reliable styles have kept them a staple in my children’s wardrobes for years. Lately, I have been doing the bulk of my shopping at this store on-line. It can be hard to find larger sizes and the full ranges of colors and styles in their brick and mortar stores. The Children’s Place has recently added “Special Sizes” – slim, plus and husky- to their web store. This is s a HUGE help to those of us who rely on these products and it’s another great reason to shop on-line!
Tip: A quick Google search can usually land you the best coupons.
On this particular day, I found a 25% off Friends and Family web code that trumped my 20% paper coupon. Add that to the 5% discount card holders get on every order and you have a considerable discount. Another coupon to have in hand is their free shipping coupon. This can be obtained in stores by telling a store employee that you could not find the size or style you are looking for (which the special sizes need would certainly fit that bill!). These coupons are one time use only and must be used within 30 days. They will save you the $5 shipping fee even if you don’t have a $50 minimum order.
Angry Birds Graphic Tee ($12.95) Licensed T’s are a new addition. This shirt was perfect. The colors are bright. I love the stripes on the sleeves , its black so it won’t show the dirt and its Angry Birds. Need I say more? My 8 year old put it on immediately and wore it to school the next day.
Pull-on Cargo Shorts ($12.00) My son needs these shorts in every color! They are the only shorts he wear. (He also has them in pants) They are long enough to cover the knee, soft material and have an elastic waist, another must. Who has time for buttons and zippers when you’re 8 yrs? They come in 6 colors. Note: They do run small in the waist and seat so you have may need to size up.
Skull Cotton PJs (12.95)
Children’s Place is one of the few stores that carry cotton pjs at a reasonable price. Which is a must have if your child has sensitive skin. Since my kids do, these are the only pj’s my kids have worn since they were babies. We stock up on the shorties for the summer and long sleeves for the winter. They run VERY snug so it is best to go up a size or two.
Hibiscus Cotton PJs ($12.95)
The girl version for my 11 yr old. I like that the design is not too babyish for my tween.
Poodle PJ Set ($16.95)I don’t usually buy polyester pjs but my daughter is not as sensitive as my son and they are so darn CUTE! We have a poodle so these were a must, plus she loves the hair band. These do not run as small as the cotton pjs.
Embroidered Denim Shorts – plus ($16.95) Since plus sizes are new, we needed to try these. The embroidered belt loops add a great touch of style. Note: This size is available on-line only.
Thank you to The Children’s Place for supplying a gift card for review purposes.
