Looking or something fun (and free!) to do with your budding artist? Go to GapKids this month for special Shine on Saturdays Events. Children will be able to do a series of special art projects, designed by Merrilee Liddiard of Mer Mag. (Read more after the jump).
These fun projects were inspired by GapKids and babyGap’s fall collection, including their fab new 1969 denim: Jewel Box Skinnies for girls, which are stretchy, skinny jeans made in a bright colors and Action Stretch Denim for boys (this denim can really move!)
Kids will create geometric art on canvas using paint and tape, decorate colorful custom journals, and make animal character badges. These projects will tap your child’s creative side.
Check out the fun video below to get your kids inspired with the Shine On spirit!
If you’re wondering, these are the winners of GapKids and babyGap fall 2012 campaign of Gap’s 6th annual Casting Call wearing the Jewel Box Skinnies for girls and the Action Stretch Denim for boys, while painting a mural at the Daniel Webster Middle School in Los Angeles.
