Want an easy and sweet way to help donate to fund research for Breast Cancer? We’re proud again to team up for another year with Bake It Happen – and it’s really easy for you to contribute. This October, all you do is bake one of their featured recipe(s) and share them with the people in your life and on social media. Sounds easy, right? Read on. Bake It Happen: An Easy and Sweet Way to Donate To Breast Cancer Research
More than 40,000 people die each year from Metastatic Breast Cancer (MBC) in the US alone. “Bake It Happen” an innovative fundraising campaign started by two sisters whose mission is to find a cure for Metastatic Breast Cancer (MBC), gains strong momentum and will kick off its sixth year with the help of strategic partners The Cancer Couch Foundation, Taste Buds Kitchen, Carousel Cakes and Ford Warriors in Pink. The fundraising effort – which honors the legacy of Judy Levin, a talented baker/cook and mom who sadly lost her battle with Metastatic Breast Cancer – requires only that participants “bake” and “share” photos of Judy’s recipes on social media.
Note that there is NO CURE for Metastatic Breast Cancer! The only way to put an end to breast cancer is to fund research to help find a CURE for MBC.
Other ways to help:
Taste Buds Kitchen is hosting Bake it Happen classes for kids in their kitchens across the US and giving a % to The Cancer Couch Foundation. Go here: www.tastebudskitchen.com
Carousel Cakes – with the purchase of their Pink Velvet Cupcakes, they’ll donate 10% of total purchases to The Cancer Couch Foundation https://www.carouselcakes.com/buy-online/cupcakes-treats/cupcake-pink-velvet-12.html.
How you can take part in #bakeithappen:
Every time a photo is shared with#bakeithappen (or emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org) and they’ll donate $5 per pictures to their partner The Cancer Couch Foundation. 100% of this money will in turn get DOUBLED and be used to fund Metastatic Breast Cancer (MBC) research.
If you don’t want to bake, you can DONATE money directly to The Cancer Couch Foundation through Bake it Happen’s website: Go to www.bakeithappen.net/donate.
So what are you waiting for? While I am not baking this year, I’m donating $20. Won’t you join me? For every comment left on this post, I will add $1 to my donation (Up to $30 more by). Comments can be left until November 1.
