R Baby Foundation was founded in 2006 after Phyllis and Andrew Rabinowitz suddenly lost their nine-day old daughter Rebecca Ava. In their grief, they created R Baby – the first and only not-for-profit organization focused on saving babies’ lives through improving pediatric emergency care. Since its founding, R Baby has raised over $11 million towards critical improvements in pediatric emergency education, training, technology and equipment. R Baby’s mission is to improve the chances that infants and children will be properly diagnosed, treated and saved through enhanced pediatric emergency care services.
Michael’s Mission is focused on improving the quality of life and treatment options for those suffering from colorectal cancer through education, research and patient support. Michael’s Mission was formed as a way to honor and remember Michael Soussa. Michael was a vibrant young man when he was diagnosed with colorectal cancer at the age of 30. He underwent multiple surgeries and almost 40 months of chemotherapy and radiation. After nearly three and a half years of fighting, Michael passed away at the age of 33. His loss devastated his family, fiancée and friends, who created Michael’s Mission with the hope of honoring Michael’s legacy and helping other patients and families facing the diagnosis of colorectal cancer.
