The fourth-annual World Maker Faire was held at the NY Hall of Science last weekend. A festival of invention, creativity and resourcefulness, World Maker Faire showcased what people are making and provides a forum to learn by sharing knowledge and experience. 600 makers exhibited their projects in addition to performance, demonstrations and a speaker roster including authors, innovators, and leading thinkers in the Maker movement.
The Maker Faire was packed – and was very kid friendly. Hundreds of makers presented their fun and unusual creations like rockets, robots, arts & crafts, electronics, artisanal foods, woodworking, live music, and more!
My kids were so engaged and interested and I plan to encourage their love of STEM (science, tech, engineering and math). We’ll be back next year!
We were given tickets in exchange for this post.
