Every year I end up with a big list of school supplies to buy. My daughter’s going into first grade and my oldest son is going into third grade. So, where do I go? Staples!

I had to miss their fun Back to School Blogger event this year, but they graciously sent me some trendy school supplies and a gift card to get a jumpstart on my school supply shopping.

My four year old (who’s in the magical land of preschool didn’t need any supplies, but came with me shopping anyway).

I immediately snapped up glue sticks (my kids go through an insane amount of these). I got the maximum amount allowed — 6 4 packs @ $1.25 each. If you buy more than 6 packages, the price goes up to $2.49 each.

Checked out some cute tech. Right now my kids share my iPad and iPhone — if we do get them their own devices, we’d need a cute and protective cases.

I was thrilled to see Packit on the shelves, as we use the Robots lunch bag for my youngest son’s lunch.

I picked up several notebooks at the price of 50 cents each.

I’d really like to see one last time their bedroom is cleaned before they head off to school. They share a room and having a clean space is important, but as soon as they clean it its messy again. Right now it has a pile of clothes they tried on that no longer fit, so I have to figure out how to pass them along to others.
