One of New York’s most beloved ballet companies is doing it again! The New York Theatre Ballet will be holding one-hour, kid-friendly performances of a popular ballet – this time it’s everyone’s favorite princess: Cinderella!
Choreographed by Donald Mahler, Cinderella will feature wacky stepsisters and a dancing clock that will strike at midnight. Costumes are by Metropolitan Opera’s Resident Costume Designer, Sylvia Taalsohn Nolan and sets by Gillian Bradshaw Smith. The ballet is for kids of all ages.Cinderella’s Ball will follow the 3:30pm performance on March 2 in Gould Hall’s Tinker Auditorium. Children will get the chance to waltz with their favorite Cinderella character, play games, win prizes, try to find Cinderella’s glass slipper and eat great desserts, with wine for the parents. Children are encouraged to wear their favorite Cinderella and Prince Charming outfits. Tickets for Cinderella’s Ball are $50 and are available at firstname.lastname@example.org or 212-679-0401 x5.
